The 2024 Acura ZDX Price, Release Date, and Photo: will be the brand’s first EV. Although the revived ZDX will be a more traditionally designed EV SUV that sets the tone for Acura’s electric future, the term was originally used on a strange SUV-esque wagonload creature. Recent images of the Type S variation in development testing by the firm show that it resembles an electric SUV covered in camouflage quite a bit. There aren’t many distinguishing details, but we appreciate this camouflaged ZDX Type S’s tabloid, two-box form, and strong shoulder line, especially in profile.
Acura hasn’t revealed any specifics on the ZDX yet, except for the fact that it will debut in 2024. Range predictions, horsepower estimations, and drivetrain(s) are all still a secret. The future ZDX can, however, be predicted with some degree of certainty, so here is what we currently know about Acura’s EV.

The 2024 Honda Prologue, an electric vehicle (EV) that shares a platform with the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, is likely to serve as the foundation for the production model of the ZDX. This suggests that the commercial model of the ZDX will probably include a battery pack and EV architecture supplied by GM. That also leaves a wide range of power outputs and alternative drivetrain layouts.
2024 Acura ZDX Engine
With lower models packing closer to 300–350 horsepower, we anticipate output to be in the upper 400s, with the Type S possibly exceeding 500 horsepower. The Chevy Blazer, which has the same platform as this vehicle, can be used to make more reasonable assumptions regarding the range. According to Chevy, the forthcoming Blazer EV would have a range of 247 to 320 miles on a single charge. These days, the sweet spot for range seems to be that number, especially for these five-passenger crossover EVs. A significant ZDX rival, the Genesis GV60, has a maximum range of 248 miles, so if Acura can match or beat Genesis, it will be putting itself on an equal footing with one of our favorite EVs.

The Acura ZDX did share some interesting information regarding a potential production version when it unveiled the Precision EV concept, a concept version of the ZDX, even if we don’t yet know the expected range or pricing. The ZDX most likely has a variety of cutting-edge driver assistance features. Although these systems don’t yet offer complete autonomy, keep in mind that Acura is considering the future of its vehicles with this idea. Although it might not happen anytime soon, Acura will make every effort to future-proof the ZDX in order to achieve its vision for the brand. Along with other smaller environmental advancements, it also claims that the ZDX would usher in a new era of sustainability for the company, with interior materials that were ethically sourced and less hazardous paints.
